Drive in Movie Party: I got the idea from this site and decided to tweak it a  bit. Here it is: This is an idea mainly for kids 11 and up. Have people dress up in 50's clothes (poodle skirt, etc.). For tickets, use a format similar to www.fandango.com tickets. Say "ADMIT ONE FOR THE SHOWING OF _____(Grease is a good one to do). SPECIAL CELEBRATION FOR THE BIRTHDAY OF ________!" For decorations, do lots of streamers in black and gold. Use movie posters from the fifties, and do it outside in your backyard. Make little sides of cars out of cardboard, and inside put four to six chairs for seating. Put an overhead projecter on the outside wall of your house. And by the way, you should do this at about eight thirty p.m. so it is dark. After showing the movie, eating popcorn and all that, go inside and put in some fifties tunes and dance like in the end scene in Grease.
