Movie Night Birthday Party.... For my daughters 5th birthday we had a movie night at our home. We sent out invitations that looked like movie tickets. We printed them on colored paper and used
a hole punch on the ends to look like a ticket. The party was starting a 6pm and while we were waiting for everyone to arrive we played a couple of games.
Toss the popcorn in the popcorn bucket and then charades the kids loved acting things out. We had a movie area set upstairs in our bonus room with an concession stand and lots of pillows for the kid to use while watching the movie. Each kid got a wallet (from Oriental Trading) with play money to buy their own movie ticket and snack at the concession stand. That was a big hit with them! For snack we had popcorn, little boxes of jr. mints and jujyfruits and Capri Sun drinks. I found popcorn bags at a paper supply store. We had enlarged the movie on the wall with a projector so it look like a real movie screen. After the movie they came downstairs for cake and opening of gifts. Then it was time for their parents to pick up. For the party favor bags I got $5 gift cert to a video store and included micro. popcorn and candy for their own movie night a home! The only thing I would change would to find a 60 min. movie rather than 90 min.! Everyone did have a lot of fun and my daughter wants a movie night party next year!
