For my 12th birthday I had a Movie/Music themed party. I invited about 20 friends. They all had to come dressed up as their favorite moviestar or singer. We had a red carpet going up to the front door. When everyone came we took their picture with a Polaroid camera, we put them on cutout stars, and then put them around the backyard. We decorated the backyard with stars, movie posters, lights, and black table cloths, with gold plates. We rented a popcorn machine and cotton candy machine, which everyone enjoyed. Then we put everyone in two teams and we went on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood. We had to ask for things like a movie ticket stub, popcorn, TV. guide, and other movie or music related items. The winning team got some candles. After the scavenger hunt we had dinner. We played a memory game and a word scramble after dinner. Then we awarded the people with the best costume and most creative costume. We presented them with fake Oscars. Since my birthday is in July we went swimming after all the awards were given out. When we got out of the pool we listened to some music and watched TV. We continued to eat popcorn and cotton candy all night. We knew we were not tired yet so we decide to tp our friend's house. When we got back we made some dances up. Which made us tired, so we put a movie in and went to bed. When we woke up we had some cereal and bagels for breakfast, especially some popcorn and cotton candy. Some of us went swimming after or watched TV. At 12 they went home and they took home their cutout star with their picture on it. Two friends stayed the rest of the day and we went to lunch and went shopping with all my birthday money. It was a really fun birthday!
