I had no idea what to do for my birthday party this year.  There was a movie out that was supposed to be hilarious, so I decided to have a movie party! We originally were going to buy snacks, but since movies are already expensive, we decided to buy movie sized snacks and put it in their goody bags, so they could have what they wanted at a cheaper price.  (I knew most of their favorite foods, and for the other ones, I just put candy that mostly everyone likes.) If they wanted a drink, they could order that.  We went to a matinee, so the tickets were $5 each. Then we went to Haagen Daaz.  We originally were just going to let them order ice cream, but we figured that toppings & double scoops would be a pain, so we just ordered a cake ahead of time, and served it there. For my goodybags, I was allotted $5 a bag.  I went to Costco, where I could get good candy in bulk cheap.  There you can also get gel pens, which I did. I went to Target, where lip gloss is considerably cheaper. I had fun, as did everyone else!
