Every year, my husband and I invited around 15 kids to spend the night at our house for our son's summertime birthday. On the invitations, we asked everyone to bring a swim suit and sleeping
bag along with other overnight necessities. Dinner consisted of hot dogs and marshmallows on a small round portable grill, which the kids cooked themselves. Outside, we set up the volleyball
net, filled water balloons for a game that the kids tossed water balloons with a partner and a bingo game with lots of prizes to hand out. (We also had other games I planned from ideas from
books, however, the most popular game was water balloons, even the year we had a downpour!) After the games and some basketball in the front driveway, we then got everyone inside to watch
movies and eat popcorn. The movies were voted on from a small list included in the invites! Breakfast was donuts. These parties were a hit until my son reached high school!
