For my daughters first birthday I wanted something no one else had done before and something that I loved myself, so I went the movie theme and turned her into a movie star! Our theme was Take One" for her first birthday party. I first took a photo and had a friend who is graphic artist and fix it up for me "G" rating added some text and turned it into a movie poster for me. I then ordered it from an online photo website in poster sizes to hang around the room. I ran out of time but I would have liked to made these into the invites instead this is what I did. The invites were Movie theme ticket stubs to invite the guests. I also bought T-shirts for my daughter and I to wear with stars on them that said "Take One" and then on the back "A (our last name) production and the date of when the party took place. I had the shirts made from (can I give the website? www.zazzle.com) The Party Colors colors were Red yellow and silver. My room was predecorated with movie posters and movie reels and I have a movie style popcorn machine so I added Popouts to hang that were cut outs of movie reels and then foil Stars. I hung foil stars every where from the ceiling along with streamers. This is a cheap way to add volume to a room for a party along with balloons. The food that I served was all movie themed. Popcorn from my machine pretzles boxed candy that I bought in bulk from a super center and set around the room for my guests in assorted flavors I also served mini pizza's. Then for the cake I found a Disney cake at a local super center with a film strip running under the bottom and a star on it. I asked them to omit the Disney charachters for me (cheaper anyway) and then to write "Take One". They also put her name inside each block of the film strip. IT WAS PERFECT for my Theme!!
