My Little Pony Party

For my daughter's 5th birthday I am doing a Little Einsteins theme. She is obsessed with the Little Einsteins, especially June. She sings all the songs, is constantly on a mission and patting to give Rocket power.

I started with the INVITATIONS: I found some paper at a craft stor that has music notes all over it, then I found some paper that looks like the blue sky with clouds all over it. I cut the music paper to fit in a letter sized envelope, then I cut the sky paper a little smaller than the music paper and glued it on top. Then I printed clip art from the internet of the characters and attached them at the bottom and clip art of Rocket at the top. IT reads : We've got a Mission! We're going on a trip in our favorite Rocket ship..To Celebrate Meagan Turning 5!" Zomming through the sky: date of party  Get ready to explore: our address  Blast off: 1 pm  We need You! RSVP

Decorations: I am hanging blue and white twisted streamers (the sky) with print outs of Rocket from playhouse disney website stapled all over the streamers. I will also have tons of primary colored balloons filled with helium everywhere. I have a Little Einsteins banner to hang and I got someone to draw June and Leo on poster board that I will hang up on the walls as well as instrument and music note cutouts that I bought in a teacher supply store that will be stuck all over the walls.

For the table cloth I will have a large piece of material that has the solar system on it with stars and glitter (for the episode that they go into space). I have light blue and red plates and LE napkins.

Activities: I will have a bubble machine blowing bubbles on the porch as people come in. I will have window markers set up for the kids to draw on the windows to create their own works of art. I found some create your own puzzles at an educational toy store (they are blank puzzles the kids can draw or paint on and put stickersetc. Then they have their own puzzle). I will also have the LE music cd playing in the background throughout the party.

I am also making a pyramid out of cardboard boxes for the episodes where they go to Egypt I found instructions at this website ( http://www.mrmcgroovys.com/t-plans-cardboard-pyramid.aspx ). I will also have her sand table set up with colored sand and possibly rocks and jewels for them to search for. Toward the end of the party I will put on the LE video of my daughter's choice to let the kids wind down.

Cake: I am making the rocket cake that I found at this website  http://www.andreasrecipes.com/2006/11/11/little-einsteins-rocket-birthday-cake/     My daughter has plastic figures of the 4 kid characters that I will stand around the cake.

Food: It will be mostly snack type foods since it is not at meal time. I am going to have cream cheese penguins (for the episode they are in antarctica) recipe here: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cream-Cheese-Penguins/Detail.aspx I will have a fruit tray and goldfish crackers. Also oreo cookie frogs recipe here : http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/cookie-frog-110625.aspx I will have juice boxes for the kids and tea and soda for the adults.

Favors: I bought some plain gift bags at a craft store (it is good to wait until there is a coupon in the Sunday paper) I got a music note stamp and stamped the bags all over with music notes and then wrote "Mission Completion" on the bags. In the bags will be a homemade coloring book (I printed coloring pages from the playhouse disney website) a box of crayons (got them for $.20 a box at back to school time at wal-mart) mini magnifying glass LE kaleidoscope LE bandaids the puzzle that they made at the beginning of the party and LE stickers that I printed out (clipart printed on sticker paper then cut out)

I think it is going to be a great party!! My daughter is really looking forward to it.  I got all my clipart from this site: http://www.disneyclips.com/imagesnewb2/littleeinsteins.html  and other inspirations from this site: http://tv.disney.go.com/playhouse/grown-ups/celebrationcenter/checklists/littleeinsteins/index.html"
