My 13th birthday party was the best party that I have ever had! I had a Hollywood themed murder mystery party. All of my guests enjoyed it very much. BEFORE THE PARTY: My mom made up the
murder mystery. On a card for a person, it said if they were the murderer or a victim. We bought a 50 foot long piece of red fabric to make our red carpet out of. My mom also had another
activity planned for us. She bought black paper bags and stickers (this project will be explained later). We bought centerpieces for the tables which were really cute. The party was going to
start at 8:00pm so it was going to be dark when the guests arrived at the red carpet. So my mom and I made little lights with paper bags. We also covered a wall in our house with silver
paper. Then my dad made a giant clapboard out of cardboard. We placed the clapboard in front of the paper for a great picture spot. We sprinkled confetti everywhere and then hung up balloons
around our house. Another wall in our house was covered with black paper. On the black paper my sister and I made a hollywood hills backround out of ripped paper. Then we took letter stencils
and wrote Hollywood on the hill, it looked really cool!We also bought big stars and wrote all of the guests names on them. Then we mounted the stars on cardboard and made our own Walk of
Fame.
THE PARTY: When the guests arrived they all walked on the red carpet. Once they walked into our house, they all took pictures with the clapboard and Hollywood hills backround. They all thought it was really cool. After that I got a really big suprise! Actors from a murder mystery company came to my house and put on a real murder mystery! Everyone really enjoyed it. Once everyone had got the feel for a the murder mystery game we did our own. The cards my mom made we used here. Each person got their card and we all went around asking questions to each other Ex: where were you at the time of the murder? What shirt were you wearing? It was so fun. It took about 1.5 hours to completed the mystery with dinner. We would have a course, then resume to our mystery, have another course, go back to the mystery. Once someone figured out the murderer, she got the maid(my mom) and told her who the murderer was. If she was right, then she won a prize which was a fake oscar and a $10 gift certificate to a spa. The murderer which happened to be me was taken away with handcuffs and all to jail. (Well not really!) After the murder mystery, we had a scavenger hunt. We recieved a disposible camerea, and a list of things to find. We got to go to neighbors houses and local shops to find the things we needed. We took pictures of the items and came back to my house. The winner was determined later that evening after my mom got the pictures developed. She talled up the items and who ever had the most items won. After the scavenger hunt, we played Clue. I thought it would be good to play it because the game is a murder mystery. We had competitons, it was so fun. Once we finsihed playing Clue, we did the project my mom had planned for us. We folded two black paper bags together. Then we hole punched the ends and tied the bags together. It mad a little scrapbook. My mom had printed all of the pictures from that evening and we pasted the pictures on the scrapbook. Then we added Hollywood stickers to the book. They were so cute! As party favors the guests kept the books and also recieved little keychain clapboards. The party was a sucsess! I would recommed this party to any girl over ten. All of the girls that I had at my party loved the murder mystery!
