Of all of the parties I hosted, the best by far was my 14th Murder Mystery Party. A week beforehand I bought a bar-B-Que murder mystery kit online to create the theme and a great activity for
the party. Online, the website where I got the kit, has so many to choose from and had age ranges. I got an adult one, even though we are teens.
The kit was $20 but came with invitations, scripts, and meal and party tips. I was able to hand-out the invitations to my friends at school that had their part and costume idea included. Before the party, I decorated the dinning-room table with a checkerboard table cloth. Then made a corpse outline in chalk on the sidewalk. We played Clue and watched a murder mystery later after the skit. My friends and I all had a great time and plenty of laughs due to the costumes and accents created by each other. The success of the party was due to the fact that my mom wasn't there all of the time and let me plan the party. Most of the success however, was because of the kit, which had step-by-step instructions.
