Hey, I'm Missy and I am turning 13 kinda soon. My idea for a fun birthday party would be something like a club theme, kids acting like they are 25 is always interesting. =] You should have an equal amount of kids (in my case, boys and girls) to make sure no one gets left out. Due to the fact that my house is small, my mom and I have decided to rent out a place called Texas Little Dude Ranch for the dance to take place. To me there is no point on getting a DJ because (1) too expensive, and (2) I'm not sure about you, but I think it would be a little wierd for someone just watching you dance with your friends! Now invitations, I want to take a blank CD and write on the cover all the things my guests need to know about the party. ( Don't hand it to your friends infront of people you know and who isn't coming to the party...easly offended or hurt.) For decorations, I am going to get spinning light-up disco balls at wall-mart that fits a 13 year olds' budget.(Perfect if you are low on cash also! ^.^)People who walk in the door will recieve glow-in-the-dark jewlery to make them stand out. I have a huge stereo that will be blasting the hottest music around. After dancing for a while, my guy and I are going to slow dance to a song, conffetti and balloons will fall from the ceiling at that time. =] from that point on, there will be balloons everywhere so that would add on to the decorations. When some people get thirsty or hungry, we will have a table in the back with apple juice for wine, and lemonade for magaritas.(crushed ice for the rocks) Remember, this is a Club Themed Party so I had to think outside of the box. If nobody likes the drinks then there is always soda and water avalible. The snacks are NOT going to be something as simple as chips and dip, it might be something a little like sandwhiches, pizza, cheetos,cup cakes, and anything along the line of junk food. (If you still can't think of anything try looking at a convinent store) Now the good part...the cake! This year my cake is not going to be a big one because I know some kids don't like chocolate.(thats the one I get) So I will get different flavored of small sized cakes. Its easy to find them at a grocery store that arn't expinsive. The last song before the dance is over will be the hit song of the month, then...the boys head home. =[ Only the V.I.P get to stay (all girls) for the AFTER PARTY!(sleepover!) So many games and so many movies. We have twister, ( I have a better way of making it fun..family seceret) truth or dare, relay races, and gossip about mean teachers!(It's a game my friends and I made up) The only movies we will be watching is scary, horror, gorry, and suspenseful movies. (THE BEST KINDS) ...I hope the V.I.P's don't have nightmares, and they better go to the bathroom before watching anything because I dont feel like cleaning anything! =D I hope this hepls you, have a great birthday party! ;-) later.
