I'm turning 13 in January, and I wanted to have a HUGE party that all of my guy and girl friends could enjoy. what better way to do that then a dance party? The theme is fancy. Girls will be wearing party dresses and guys will look nice, but on my invitation I left it open ended, incase some people didn't have time to buy a dress. The date of my party is Saturday the 21st, 3 weeks after christmas, and I will be handing out invites the week I get back to school, so that people have time to go out and buy dresses or nice clothes to wear to the party. When you walk into my house, there will be a closet for coats and purse, and a table for gifts. Then there will be a red carpet going down my basement stares- just to be cute. There are going to be streamers hanging form the ceiling as you walk in. There is going to be a sectional, a pool table, and a movie room. The movie room will be used to play wii games like just dance and sing it. There is going to be a bar, where the food is and there will be a lot of soda! I am just going to have bagel bites, and lay chips, and small things like that at the bar, because people usually don't eat a lot at dance parties. But there will be cake towards the middle of the party. My party will be held form 7:30-11:00, but a few of my close girl friends are sleeping over. The same girls that are sleeping over will come over before to help my get prepared and help each other with our makeup -we are V.I.P." so we have to look the best ;). My parents are going to be checking frequently but there will still be slow dances. Music wise my friend and I are going to make a mix and put it on my ipod. I will have mainly fast songs but some slow songs where all the girls can dance with the boys. I am inviting about 65 people and am expecting about 50 to come. I know that at a lot of my friends parties drinks were spilled everywhere so I am going to buy a bunch of the mini bottles of sodas and have about 10 sharpies at the bar so people can write their names on them that way the drinks wont be mixed up and less will be used. For invitations i am going to hand out tickets with a picture of me on them and all the party information which will be made off Microsoft word and i am also going to send out a text fwd incase people lose theirs I will probably send out a text fwd 2 weeks in advance and then the week of with all of the information on it. I am going to hand My invitations out at school. This is a really easy cheap and fun party for any teenager looking to have a dance party. This can be easily compromised and made as elaborate or generic as you would like."
