For my son's 4th birthday, we decided to have a monkey party at a local jumping inflatable place.  For his invitations, I stamped a monkey with bananas and vines and the text had really cute phrases Jump up and down on the floor 'cause our little monkey is turning 4 Help us celebrate Brady's big day! We'll be hanging around on... Give us an ooh ooh aah aah and let us know if you can make it!" The theme was perfect for a jumping inflatable place.  The colors were yellow brown and red which really look cool together. For the cake I made a monkey face cake that was so simple. I made the face by baking the cake in a round bowl and cut a cupcake in half to make the ears and attched them with toothpicks. I iced the cake in chocolate used m+m's for eyes and yellow icing for the mouth area.  I also made cupcakes in the shape of monkeys by using mini nilla wafers for ears and snout and made the face and mouth with black and red gel icing. I've heard of other monkey parties where they also serve banana smoothies which also would have been a cute added touch.  The goodie bags were plain brown lunch bags stamped with monkeys.  Inside there were monkey stickers monkey necklaces little barrel of monkey keychains and little bags of banana candies from a bulk candy store. I tied the goodie bags with brown and yellow ribbon. It was a really simple cute and unique birthday party.  Everyone is still commenting me on the invitations and cake."
