Sleepover Party 12 yr

November 2011  x

Amanda in Providence, Rhode Island, USA

For my birthday party, I decided to have a slumber party. I invited 7 of my closest friends to my house to sleepover for the night. INVITATIONS: for invitations I got card stock paper with pink polka dots on it at my local craft shop. Then I cut it into squares and put a smaller peice of white square paper on top of it. I wrote where it was, what time the party was at, RSVP, date, and what to bring. I mailed them to each house in beautiful light pink envelops. The invitations arrived three weeks before the party. DECORATIONS: For decorations I purchased some beautiful items at a party store in the mall. I bought purple and pink streamers and hung them across the ceiling and in the front doorway. Then, I hung lanterns at the dinner table, and in the bedroom, where we will sleep. Then I decorated the dinner table by putting on a white table cloth and setting out paper plates, napkins and plastic forks and spoons. FOOD: when the guess arrived, we sat the the dinner table and ate our dinner. We made our own pizza's a few hours before and now we ate them. I am a horrible cook but, surprisingly, they turned out pretty good! As a started while the pizzas were cooking we feasted on pigs in a blanket and veggie sticks. This gave us some time to settle down since everyone was very excited when they first came in. THe cake was amazing. It was The layers with 12 candles on each layer. ACTIVITIES: The basic game are the best, for example, truth or dare, manhunt if you have a large enough property and watching movies. Hanging out is important too, so don't think that you need to be doing something every second. By far, putting on a fashion show was the best. We sorted out into teams of two and we had categories being done like, seasons, pajamas and fancy wear. FAVORS: In the morning, every one had breakfast, took their goodie bags and left. We got beautiful pastel colored bags and put, lipgloss, nail polish candy, lotions and fuzzy socks. We then put he bags in a basket and gave them out as people left.
