For the invitations you can get some imprintable invitations or make some custom invitations on your computer. On them you should write down all of the basics and tell them that it will be a
sleepover and they can bring sleeping bags. You should only invite about 10 kids.
For decorations you should make everything look like a hotel. The living room should look like a lobby and you should make a front desk where the girls check in. Then in you daughter or son's room you should make the biggest space possible for the sleeping bags to sleep in and some girls or boys can sleep on the bed if it is big enough. If you have a big sheet of card board you could make a fake elevator to the kid's room by cutting it in half and having some people pull the doors shut and open and on each side there should be buttons. It would be best if you have a pool because you could say that this was the hotel pool. There should be a dining room table decorated for dinner and breakfast. As a main activity you can hand the girls or boys out Hotel Tee Shirts" and they can decorate them with markers. If you have a pool in the morning they ould go for a swim and then have breakfast. As some games you can have a cooking demonstration and have the kids make something like omelettes and that can be part of their breakfast or make other foods. Another game could be a game called sight seeing where you give each kid a envolope of pictures of things like the Statue of Liberty or the White House and you have a little game show where you time how fast they can know them and whoever knows them fast enough wins a small prise. The party snacks can be a Dinner buffet and a Breakfast and some of the foods can be from the cooking demonstration. The Cake should be a plain cake or ice cream cake with something on it that says (birthday child's last name) hotel and have little writing on it that says things like have a good day. The kids get their tee shirts and some other small prizes for their party favors. I hope you like my idea."
