For my childrens 9th and 10th birthday party we did a scavenger/ puzzle party. I bought puzzels at the dollar store with 24 big pieces and I outlined each piece on the back with a diffrent
color marker. I then wrote clues on the back in riddles. example Stop or Alto is what you know find this and you will be good to go! Look for the saw horses, there is two behind them you will
find your next clue! (mailbox) look for the box with the flag held high there you will find a piece of the pie!(house #'s) If you add the numbers that equal 8 look for the clue at the back of
the gate. When they got to their last clue their was half of the box to put the puzzle in and it said ..Count your pieces (24) and head for the door, if they have all been found put them
together the fastest and you will be crowned. I made the invitations with a riddle and when everyone was there I split them into 5 teams...everyone had a color. I picked the oldest kids first
and then split them up equally for age purpose..some could read better. I gave them all bandanas in their team color and they all started with one clue. I mapped it out to send them all in
diffrent directions. Two teams came in pretty close to each other and it was a race to put the puzzle together the fastest...LOL they were shaking they were so nervous...and their is 5 kids
trying to put a puzzle together...It was great fun!!! The best party EVER! First place got little medals put around their neck and everyone got movie theater candy to pick from and glow
sticks! We live in a cul de sac and I got permission from all the neighbors to hide clues in their front yards...that was all that was included and my backyard...I also layed out the rules of
pushing, cheating all got put in a penalty box for 3 min. we had NO problems with it because they knew ahead of time they would get the penalty! Make sure that the box and all pieces have
their color on it and make sure the kids know to only pick up their color!
