For my 11th birthday party I wanted to do a Harry Potter theme. Invitations: For the invitations we bought some paper that looked old and wrote out a letter the invitation said that the party
guests had been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We wrote that the school year would begin with a celebration in honor of my birthday. Party: When the guests arrived
the were presented with cloaks, spellbooks, and wands. Then they were told to line up for sorting. We had two tables set up marked with areas for the four houses. A witches hat served as our
sorting hat. Each guest was called up and the hat was placed on their head and they drew the crest of the house they were going to be in out of a bowl. After the students were sorted we ate
dinner. Sadly our food did not appear by magic but my parents brought it out to us. During dinner many guests practiced using their wands and spellbooks. After dinner we were off to classes.
We had quizes on the Harry Potter Books for History. We also had a potions class filled with cool science experiments. Every class was a competion to see who would win the House Cup. In the
end Hufflepuff ended up winning an event unheard of in any of the books. Even now two years later every guest at that party can still remember it and we can laugh at the spells we cast on
each other.
