My daughter wanted a spa party for her 6th birthday. Instead of hiring a company to come out and do the spa treatments" I decided that I would do them myself with the help of some family
members. First was to pick my party colors. I decided on hot pink lime green and white. I found blank stationery at Target with those colors so I printed my own invitations using hot pink
lettering. It took a couple of months to gather all of the supplies that I needed. I went to all of the dollar stores around. I decided to have four stations:
Pedicures Manicures Jewerly Making (random but I needed to keep girls busy for a while) and the last station they would do as a group was makeup. I put white ez-ups up in my backyard that I borrowed from neighbors. I found sheer curtains in hot pink and lime green that I put on the front sides of the ez-ups to make them look like cabanas. The dollar stores had GREAT stuff. I was able to find paper lanterns that I hung on my patio cover; I found hot pink tubs for the girls to soak their feet in; I found hot pink little standing mirrors that they used at the makeup station; I bought tons of nail polish and decals also lip gloss and headbands. I found the cutest bags that matched my party colors also at the dollar store. On the bags I made tags with each of the girls name thanking them for comng to my daughter's party and attached them with ribbon to the bag's handle. Inside the bags were the cute flip flops that I found at the dollar store along with headbands. I also went to Wal-Mart and bought them all eyeshadows (age appropriate colors) The girls were able to choose their colors and what kind of design they wanted on their nails. I went to Michaels and got a jewerly kit for the jewerly making station using a 50% off coupon that I got in the newspaper. My mom came over with her camera and took tons of pictures. I kept the food simple. I just ordered pizza and did fruit skewers. I made a giant cupcake cake. I spent less than $300 on the party for 13 girls and the girls had a blast. The party was a great success. Can't wait to plan next year's party."
