My daughter turned 10 and wanted a sleepover with 5 friends.
We decided to have the sleepover at a local hotel that had a pool and was close to the Mall. I decorated the hotel room with Hawaiian items. Ex. seashells, fishnets, blow-up palm tree, Aloha banner, palm tree lights, etc. The room had a king sized bed, a pull out sofa, and we brought a fold out mattress. The evening started at 5:30 with pizza, chips and fruit kabobs made with strawberries, mango, banana, etc in the room, then we drove to the Mall for a scavenger hunt. We divided into two teams and had a list of items I found on-line. They had a blast with this! We set up a meeting place and an amount of time. Also rules about conduct! My mom took one group and I the other. After the hunt we went back to the hotel for swimming in the indoor pool. We had pool games to play that I found on-line ( just google birthday party pool games). Following the pool, we went to the room and had cake and made fruit smoothies, with fruit and vanilla yogurt made in the blender (I brought it from home). We then made Hawaiian tissue paper flowers, played BEACH bingo, and various other girl games. The girls then went to bed and the next morning we had breakfast downstairs. The hotel had a complimentary breakfast buffet with many choices! The checkout time was noon, so we went swimming again before going home. I think the girls had a great time and I did also! They went home with a Hawaiian print cosmetic bag that included nail polish, file, clippers, small hair brush, mirror, hair bands, etc.
