For my 14th birthday, I had a lot of people I wanted to invite, since I had just started at a new school. So, I decided to do something simple where I could invite a lot of people. This
obviously marked out a sleepover! So, my mom and I decided on a cookout at our local nature park. We rented a small grass area in the woods that had a bonfire pit, grill, and picnic tables. I
had my friends come at 6:30. So we waited until about 6:45 to start the hunt. First, we ate supper. We had dot dogs, chips, and soda. We cooked the dot dogs on the grill, but you can do them
in the bonfire if you want. Next, we were split up into teams of three. Each team got a list of what to find. (If you don't feel comfortable having your guests go off by themselves, you
can split up into two teams and have a parent lead each one) On the hunt, the guests had to find stuff such as pincecones, red leaves, take a pic of a squirrel...etc. and then we had bonus
points, like if you got a pic of a deer you got 30 seconds taken off of your time. The team back with all their stuff in the smallest time won. Next, we had cupcakes. Then, we did presents.
Next, we played a few games we made up, then we roasted s'mores over the campfire!
