Cooking Party...My daughters b-day was a month ago and i thought it was very cool so i wanted to share it with everyone!!  INVITATIONS: I was going to just buy some but then i got creative. I decided to go on microsoft word and I made each card personalized like I wrote on one like this...Valeria you are invited to come to Sasha's 10th birthday. Please bring:1 bowl of friendship 1 bowl of fun and a cup of laughter to Sasha's house on August 21, 2009 from 3:30-6:00. You will be the chef YUMMMM!! I loved this invitation mostly because at the bottom i put a little cartoon chef, i printed these on colorful paper a different color for each girl. My daughter loved them!!  Party: ARRIVAL: When the girls got to the party I had bought a chocolate fountain and i laid out marshmellows and strawberrys that they dipped in the chocolate. All of the girls had so much fun with that, they said it was the highlight of the day. While they were eating the chocolate i laid out aprons and chef hats that i had ordered online on a big table with markers and glitter that i got at Michael's. When they were done with the chocolate I had the girls sit down and decorate their aprons and hats anyway they wanted. i also bought stencils of fruits and they loved those. When they finished i told them they were only allowed to come in the kitchen with their aprons and hats on. Me and my mom had the pizza station ready in the kitchen i bought mushrooms, pineapple, and pepperoni bits in little cups. I bought the dough at a pizza place across the street from my house and they did not charge me that much. Each girl got a partner and they both decided how they would share their dough 2 partners let their dough get to dry so i had to go get some more but it was not such a big deal. I let the pizzas cook for about 8 min., all of the pizzas came out delicious.  Next: I told them we were going to make chocolate cake. I have a family recipe and i taught them all without using the powder people usually use. I told the girls before we start the cakes we were going to practice seperating the egg whites from the yolk. They all got it right on there first try but they did get a little crazy when my mom made a whipped cream by mixing the egg white with her hand. Next we made the real cake each girl got to do something and it worked out awesome. While the chocolate cakes were cooking we made a different kind of cake called pistachio. The girls loved this cake because the recipe contained some silly things that you would put in a cake. When we put this cake in the oven the other one was ready and we got to decorate the cake with icing and sprinkles. While the pistachio cake was cooking i told my daughter we were going to open the presents. She thought that all her presents were awesome. When the pistachio cake was ready it was almost time for the girls moms to come pick them up so i cut a peace of pistachio cake that i let each girl take home. I knew the girls left as happy chefs.
