For my Son's 7th birthday we had a Indianna Jones party. I had no idea a new movie was coming out. My boys loved watching the old ones. For invites I printed out Indianna Angus (in the font
like on the movie poster) invites you to a birthday Adventure on the Nile of Port Medway etc...It was all boys. The party was outside. I drew a huge poster on an old banner and had a pic of
King tut, pyramids etc on it. I had this on our building. Each kid got a canvas hat(oriental trading) when they arrived. GAMES. we went on a archelogoical dig. all the kids walked down to the
playground, near my house. In the sand I had burried all kinds of colored rocks (dollar Store) they got to dig and put on brown bags. whoever got the most won. We went We played walk
like an eygptian with books. We played pin the pyramid on Egypt. We played a blow dart game. With straws and Q-tips. Dipped the end in red paint. They had to blow the dart on the poster I
made. kids loved this one. Then for the best part. We had a search for the treasure. They followed clues which eventually gave them a box of keys.. each kid got one. the last clue led them to
the Valley of the KIngs in my basement. My basement is a rock and dirt basement way under my house like a tunnel. it was perfect, wet dark and all stone. At the end was a an old trunk locked.
on the way was candles in tiki vases..my mom was down there hidden and she scared them. Her and I were dressed like eygtians. They each tried the key. The birthday boy last. Inside was the
treat bags.
They each got a canvas burlap shoulder bag(oriental trading), really nice. Inside was gold chocolate coins, compas, clip pens, note book, mummy suckers and gum(oriental trading), gold hershey kisses. The kids loved them and all the kids still use their napsack. FOOD: We had meatballs, cheese and crackers, pepparoni and garlic fingers. The cake was in the shape of a mummy and looked awesome. This party was alot of fun.
