My 9 year old daughter is sports minded so we threw a Gear up for Greece Olympic Party. We printed versions of the Greek and Olympic flags and had them out front. When the girls arrived they colored flags of the nation they wanted to compete from. They also received official Olympic badges to wear around their necks. Opening Ceremonies included a parade of athletes waving their flags. They competed in Greco-Roman thumb wrestling, Frisbee discuss, swimming noodle javelin throw, triathlon (running, skipping and galloping), Olympic ring basketball (shooting from each of the 5 rings we drew on our court with chalk) and rhythmic gymnastics (we glued a ribbon on a dowel and it worked beautifully). Our sheet cake was decorated with M&M's for the rings. Candy & medals from the toy store were prizes.
