For my 7th birthday party I had the Carly Olympics. I had about 20 kids divided in three groups, and my babysitter and two of her friends came to each manage a team. We named each team a
"country" such as Oz, etc. As they arrived we had a freeze dance to get everybody accquainted. When everybody was there we ate pizza and lemonade. Then, the activities began! We
played a ton of games. One of the best ones was a relay race with a twist. We went one country at a time. Each person had a job, like doing a cartwheel, a pullover on a bar, or my favorite,
eating two crackers then whistling. My dad timed us and the best time got three points, second best two points and lowest time, one point for effort. Another of my favorite games was a
singoff. My dad gave a category, for example, colors. The first team had to sing a song with a color in it. For example, "... for PURPLE mountain magesty, above the fruited plain!"
The next team had to sing a different song with a color in it, "Miss. Mary Mac, mac, mac, all dressed in BLACK, BLACK, BLACK..." This went on until a team couldn't sing another
song. They'd get one point, the next team two points, etc. Be creative, tons of games will work for this! For party favors we had chocolate medals and certificates of achivement. These are
great prices at teacher stores. I had a chocolate medal shaped cake that said, "You're a winner, Carly!" This was a great party and I hoped it helped you. Thanks for reading this!
