Last year I hosted a Peter Pan Theme Party. This was no usual Peter Pan Party as it was for my Partner who refuses to grow up. As he was turning 44 we decided that it would be his 8th birthday
party (4+4 = 8).
So what did we do? I made his Peter Pan costume including a goregous hat with green feather (red ones were hard to find). It was quite hilarious seeing a grown man running around in green tights and PP costume, but definitely worth it. All of the guests (incl children) dressed up as someone from the story - we had Tinkerbell, a couple of pirates, Michael (the boy with the teddy bear)etc. Games we played incl. Pin the Clock on the crocodile (a girlfriend drew the crocodile), pass the parcel etc. We also judged the best costume for the night. Food included children's fairy bread, chocolate crackles and the usual mumchies found at childs party. The cake had Peter Pan flying through the night sky on the top of it. There was also the obligatory Peter Pan videos for the children to watch. This was one of the most memorable and fun ways to celebrate an adult birthday. It definely got everyone mingling and talking to each other.
