Kids Birthday
Party Supplies

For my daughter's second birthday party, I decided to go along with the Tinkerbell theme because I fell in love with a Tinkerbell costume at the Disney Store.  I bought all the Tinkerbell party supplies at the local party store. I bought the cups, plates, tablecloth, etc.  I searched everywhere for anything I could find that was Tinkerbell related. At an art online store, I was able to buy a Tinkerbell poster that I placed behind the cake table. At the Disney Store, I bought a Tinkerbell lamp, a Tinkerbell candle holder, a Tinkerbell flower vase, and a Tinkerbell snowglobe. I used all these items to decorate the cake table. I also put a Tinkerbell picture frame with my daughter's picture on the table. The flower vase came with a notepad inside, which I removed. I then placed Easter grass in the vase and stuck a bunch of chocolate flowers I made with Wilton Candy Melts. All the flowers matched the party colors: lavender, pink and green. I bought her the costume, took studio pictures of her dressed up for her 2 yr portraits.  I used one of the pictures and placed it in a Tinkerbell frame I got at the Disney Store and placed it on the cake table.  I then used the wallet sized pictures to send with our Tinkerbell thank you notes. For the cake, I ordered a two-tiered lavender and pink cake from our favorite bakery.  They did an incredible job matching up the color of the cake with the color of the napkins. It had pink and green swirls around the cake. I placed the candle holder I bought at the Disney Store on top of the cake.  I also used a tiered stand to display candy wrapped up in colorful candy wraps.  The candy wraps are retangular shaped tissued paper that have the ends cut to make them look like fringes. I bought them in Brazil, where I'm originally from, and where these are very popular.  I also made homemade petit fours and wrapped them in colorful liners with the party colors. I cut little pieces of plastic before placing the petit fours in the liners to give it more of a sophisticated look.  I also displayed these in a tiered plate. I made flowers" out of balloons to decorate the house.  I used four balloons of the same color and put a small one in the center to create the "flower".  I just tied them up with ribbon and taped them to the walls around the table and around the house. I used two counters in my kitchen to hold all the stuff for the party. I covered them both with matching Tinkerbell tablecloth. I used a Wilton cupcake stand to display all the cupcakes.  I sprinkled "pixie dust" - colored sugar on them. I used little flowers (from Wilton) on some of them and the top cupcake had a Tinkerbell on it. I bought a Tinkerbell bendable keychain from the Disney Store to put on top of it.   I bought little metal buckets in pastel colors to fill with goodies for the kids. I put Tinkerbell ponytail holders bubbles Tinkerbell stickers Tinkerbells wands plastic flutes I got at the 99 cents store playing cards etc.  On top of it I used Easter grass and placed pinwheels and some cute ladybug chocolate candies I bought at the Lindt store. My daughter's birthday is in March so I find a lot of Easter and spring-related items for her birthday.  I used one of her little pink wooden baskets from her room to place napkins.  I bought those Tinkerbell souvenir plastic cups from the party store to place all the forks knives and spoons (in pink lavender and green of course). I also used streamers in the same colors.  I served dinner and I made sure to buy solid plates in those colors and actually opened the packages to alternate the colors.  For the cake I used the Tinkerbell heart-shaped plates.  Because of the age difference of the kids in the party we didn't play any structured games.  The girls got their face painted with pixie dust (glitter) when they came in.  My daughter wore her Tinkerbell costume when we cut the cake and then she didn't want to take it off.    Here are some of the pictures: http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06502.jpg http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06515.jpg  http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06514.jpg http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06512.jpg  http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06509.jpg http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06510.jpg  http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06506.jpg http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06503.jpg  http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06500.jpg http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06498.jpg  http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/scarnaval/?action=view&current=DSC06496.jpg"
