This is a party I did last year for my 2 children.
I have a 3 yr old son & 4 yr old daughter whose bdays are very close, so we do just one party. This is such a great theme because there is plenty of stuff for girls AND boys. To start, the invitation had a picture of Neverland on the front, and inside it said:To all lost boys fairies pirates and indians: A great adventure awaits in Neverland! All you need is faith & trust we'll supply the pixie dust. Our kids are turning 3 & 4! Come all dressed up eat cake galore! Games & treasures pizza too! Here's hoping we'll be seeing you! Meet us at Peter Pan's hide-out also known as the XXX's house 123 Main St." (I got some of the wording from other Peter Pan parties described on this site.) For kids who had never seen the movie I made copies of our movie and included it with the invitations which I hand delivered. The kids were encouraged to dress like a character from the movie. When the kids arrived I had freezer paper cut into long sections and had them lay on the paper to "catch their shadow" by having a parent trace their outline. The kids could then color in the outline of themselves. Next we played Pass the Pirate using a Captain Hook doll (Barbie-size) that we had. This was like playing hot potato. Each kid got a prize when they left the game. Follow-the-leader was fun and we played the song from the movie while we played this. Finally we ate pizza and had cake. The cake was a big crocodile (Tic-Toc Croc of course!) and I had a pirate ship set up on the table close by. When the kids left they each got little goody bags. Each bag had a small Peter Pan coloring book that I made from free coloring pages I found on the internet a box of crayons the boys also got pirate eye patches pirate stickers and a crocodile shaped pen. Girls got Tinkerbell wands fairy-dust lipgloss and Tinkerbell stickers. Everyone had a great time and the kids all looked SOOOO adorable dressed up as the characters."
