Every year we have a big theme party for my daughter inviting all her friends. We discuss themes and make a decision of what type of party we will have.  This year she will be nine and she has decided to go a different route with her party.  We have decided to have a girls day out.  She has picked one friend to enjoy the day with. We will begin in the morning with a day at the salon. The girls will begin with a complete manicure and pedicure and then move on to the chair where they will receive a new haircut and style! They will then be tastefully "made Up" (as appropriate for a young lady) with the latest cosmetic tricks! We are doing all this at our local Beauty School so the cost is minimal.  It's then off to a luncheon at a local restaurant (not McDonald's) and then spend the rest of the afternoon shopping at the Mall where each girl will receive 10.00 to spend. (My suspicion is that we will end up at the Dollar Tree) The evening will end with a play put on by the local theatrical company! We hope to go backstage and get our play bills signed as a memento of the evening! The girls are so excited and have been talking and planning this for over a month now! Her birthday is in August!  Wish us luck!
