For my daughter's 8th birthday party, we had a Hollywood premier party.  The table was decorated with a black tablecloth and had silver placemats on it. The utensils were wrapped together by using star garland and the napkins were folded into a fan shape & held together with more gold star garland and of course there were plastic champagne glasses for each girl.  I also sprinkled gold & silver glitter on the table. I had snacks passed around on crystal platters. Each girl had a makeover and their nails done. For games I came up with celebrity charades & totally hidden talent. An example of one of the talents was, "At the last minute, the supermodel in the fashion show has sprained her ankle, when the music starts, you have to take her place so strut your stuff down the runway."  I also made autograph books for each girl on the computer. Most of the girls were signing their names along with their charade name. There were 20 girls present & 18 of them spent the night.  After dancing & listening to CD's, the girls watched movies the rest of the night.  The goodie bags went along with the theme.  I had gold & silver bags that had gold ties on them.  The contents included, gold & silver pencils, hair scrunchies, lipstick & makeup samples,(I got mine from my Avon lady)candy, gold & silver balloons, and body glitter. A camcorder is a must at this party. Everybody becomes an actress and wants to put on a show after their makeover!!!!
