My son (as well as many other 7-year olds) loves Pokemon, but we had to find a way to incorporate the Pokemon theme with a Carnival type backyard party.  We formulated several booths using the sides of refrigerator boxes to set up the booth fronts. We pasted all sorts of Pokemon characters on the signs. Next, we set up the following: PokeArcade (Nintendo hook-ups and several small battery operated Pokemon games) Bouncing Battle Arena (This we rented from a party shop) PokeFace (Face Painting) Pin the Tail on Pikachu, etc. We had one booth for redeeming the tickets obtained throughout the Carnival where kids could either get several small items or one large item based on the number of tickets they had.  We had Pokemon music going instead of Carnival type music just to add the extra flair.
