We just had a pokemon party for my daughter's sixth birthday and it was a huge success.  I had used several ideas from the web site and added a few touches and the party was great. We started out with pokemon trainer badges for the guests as they arrived (which was very easy to create on the computer). We had a moon walk set up in the back yard, which was also a huge success. As the girls and boys arrived they were greeted and taken to the moon walk.  After having hotdogs and Barbecue Sandwiches with all the trimmings, it was time for games. We got a old box that a desk had came in and drew Pikacu and a Poke Ball on then painted, and cut out holes for the children to try to throw Meow through to win prizes--easy to do and the guest had a blast.  We also played pokemon tag, and had a water gun fight which was one of the prizes (the water felt great since it was in the 80's) Then time for the piñata which had to be make because there isn't any pokemon piñatas around this area, I had found one in the Birthday.com catalog but my daughter did not want it because the colors were not correct (A TRUE POKEMON FAN), it was really simple to do starting with a baseball piñata then adding red, white, and black crept paper.  I had filled the goody bags prior to breaking, but my daughter did not think that was as fun as everyone trying to gather for himself (even though I liked it better).  Then of course we had Pikachu cake and ice cream and back to the moon walk . If part of the guest were not Pokemon fans when they were invited to this party they were when they left.
