This party is for my son who is turning 8!
It will be in the neighborhood clubhouse and we will have about 30 kids. Every minute of the party is planned to keep them entertained and calm. First when they arrive they will guess how many pokemons there are in a bowl, we will write their guess in their name tags. Then we will put a pokemon sticker in their back and have them ask "yes" or "no" questions and guess which pokemon they are (we will be playing Which Pokemom Are You from the Pokemon CD) Then we will allow 20 min for card trading (the invitation said we would trade and battle and we have a bunch of extra cards for those that don't have any. Afterwards we will divide them in teams and start the games: Pokemon hot lava (with pokeballs I made with cardboard and foam), dress up races (with Ash's vest and baseball cap all homemade), pokemon Knots (like jungle knots), pokemon freeze with the Pokemon CD music, Pokemon tag and shoe scramble. We will open presents playing hot pokemon (like the hot potato, each child holds their present and they passed around, when the music stops the present in the hands on the b boy it's open) ...then we will do cake (we ordered a pokemon cake from Sam's) and then we do the piņata ....a 4.5 ft Pikachu a friend of mine in Macallen ordered ($15) ...it is filled with piņata toys, candy and pokemon cards. The party favors are bright colored copies of 4 different activity sheets the local pokemon trading league uses. Hope you can use some ideas and have pokefun!
