For my twin boys 6th birthday party we had a Pokemon Party! It was a huge hit. As the guests arrived we had them begin by decorating Pokeballs. We had large white Satin Christmas balls,
glitter, glue, stickers, ribbon, and markers. And they got to decorate to their hearts content. These then had plenty of time to dry before it was time to go home. Outdoor space isn't a
problem for us, so we then went outside to play Pokemon tag. One of the birthday boys started off by being "Ash" (it). He had to catch all of the Pokemon. Those tagged had to sit
down. Last Pokemon standing gets to be the next Ash. Next we played "Who's my Pokemon?" Each child got a Pokemon sticker on his back. Children were paired up and had to guess which
Pokemon was on his back by asking yes or now questions. "Is he a plant Pokemon?" "Is he Electric?" They loved this game, but I would only recommend it for 6 and up. We had
a couple of 4 year olds and they just didn't get it. Next, we played our own version of Duck, Duck Goose. Instead we used the words "Pikachu, Pikachu, Charmander". On Charmander the
tagged child had to get up and chase. We came inside for lunch, cake and gifts. About 10 minutes before parents were due to arrive we put on a Pokemon video to settle everyone down, and
passed out favor bags and Pokeballs as everyone left. A good time was had by all!
