My daughter wanted a unicorn party for her 5th birthday.   Invitations: I had invitations printed on postcards (Vista Print).  There was a unicorn on the front and the back had It's a magical day when wishes come true. Ainsley would like to celebrate her birthday with you."  and all of the party information. We had the party at our house and I called the location "Ainsley's magical meadow" with our address on the invitation. I also ordered unicorn stamps (Zazzle) return address labels (Vista Print). Decorations: I ordered unicorn plates napkins re-usable plastic goblets and a unicorn pinata from Celebrate Express. I ordered my daughter a pink unicorn shirt to wear the day of the party. The napkins also had butterflies on them so I got pink and purple latex balloons and some foil butterfly balloons to put around the house.  I also got some beautiful pink garden roses and put them in a colorful vase.  They looked really pretty and were very fragrant.  Food/Snacks:  We ordered carry-out barbeque (pulled pork potato salad cole slaw corn bread muffins) from a local restaurant for the food but I added some fun snacks. I dipped bugles in chocolate and sprinkles for unicorn horns. I also filled sugar ice cream cones with kissables and attached them to cookies with frosting for bigger unicorn horns.   Cake:  I made a Barbie doll cake and she was holding a Precious Moments unicorn ornament that I bought on E-Bay.  Activities:  The biggest surprise of the day was having unicorn rides.  A friend helped me find a white horse to come to the party.  I made a horn out of gold fabric stuffed it and attached an elastic band.  The horse was great and didn't mind his unicorn horn at all and the guests were great with waiting for their turn to ride the unicorn.  The unicorn stayed for about 1 hour for rides. We had a unicorn shaped pinata and I found unicorn horn suckers and unicorn stickers to include in it along with other candies and small toys.  The goodie bags were cute paper lunch bags in the party colors (pink and purple of course) with round unicorn stickers on them. Since the party was at our house the children also enjoyed the swing set and kiddie pools.     Party Favors:  Every one took home their goodie bags from the pinata small stuffed unicorn and their plastic drink cup.  Thank you notes:  I ordered simple thank you notes from Vista Print. They were note cards with a unicorn and "thank you" on the front and blank inside for our message on the inside. I included a picture of the guests riding the unicorn with the thank you notes."
