We celeberated my sons second birthday on July 2nd, The theme was winne the pooh. Our invitations were hand made with the foam sheets. The invitations looked like a Pooh holding the honey pot
in which honey is dripping and a number two poping out of the honey pot. For the pooh's body we used the mango coloured foam sheet, and for his shirt we used Red and the Honey pot was
tericotta colour and the number two popping out of the pot was light green in colour. I used the doll eyes for the eyes. On the back of the foam sheet i hand wrote the invitaions. The
envelops were also custom made as well, we printed the pooh images on the envelop and the address label also had a pooh image on it.
For decorations i used mango and red grape sheets to create drops. I bought a lot of red and mango coloured baloons from walmart and used the pooh rubber stamps and black ink pad and stamped the pooh images all over the baloon, i let it dry and we blewed the baloon on the party day. All The ballons had pooh images on it. We attached the ballon to the wall alternating with one yellow and one red. We bought a lot of pooh banners from the party store and cut the pooh images from the banners and sticked it to the walls around the house. We made a pooh Pinata at home. The pinata looked like a pooh bending down and holding a two on both the hands. We decorated the pinata with yellow and red tissue pappers and filled with lot of honey candies that were hand wrapped with Red and yellow wrappers. We also filled the pinata with lot of small toys. We bought a pooh loot bags to go along with the theme. On the cake cutting table, the table had a mango sheet with a red border. The back drop was a pooh banner, one of our pooh invitaions that we made at our home, Pooh happy birthday banner and a pooh center piece. We made the pooh cake at home as well. The cake looked like a pooh sitting in the garden along with a fruit basket next to it. We made a half sheet cake with lemon flavour (regular rectangular one) and on its side we spread a frosting with terecotta color and combed it with the cake comb to look like mud. topped the cake with a green color frosting, i used the grass tip so that the top of the cake looks like a field. We baked the 3d pooh cake (it was an orange falour) and placed the pooh on one of the corners on the base cake. We frosted the body of the pooh with golden yellow color and the shirt with red, Honey pot wuth Blue and honey with yellow. I attahed some bees that we brought from the craft store to the honey pot(it lokked like bees were circling the honey pot).I bought miniature fruits and a nest that looked like a country basket from the craft store and placed the bird nest next to the pooh and arranged the miniature fruits to look like a fruit basket. and on the other corner i sread little terecotta frsoting and planted some plastic trees. The cake came up so good. We served the cake in a pooh plate with a pooh napkin. The forks were red and yellow in color. The foods were served in a yellow or a red color plstic plate. We made all the veggies in mango color and the chicken in deep red color. The desert was fruit salad made with honey. For goody bags we bought pooh puzzles and pooh snow globes from the disney store, we packed gummy bears in seperate pooh bags and Pooh shapped marshmallows in the seperate bags. I also bought a standup pooh (about 4 feet tall) with an air blower. Kids were crazy behind it, punching and pushing the pooh. I also bought Pooh shaped helium baloons and stciked two to those to go along with the party. The total party was a grant sucess, We decided on the theme much in advance and when ever we go shopping i will keep looking for the items that will go along with theme and we were able to collect a lot of items that went with the theme.
