We had a Winnie the Pooh birthday party for my twins 2nd birthday. For their 1st b/day we had way too many people so this year we had 2 parties. One at home for family & one at the park with their 2 yr old friends. This was much nicer.   For the invitations:  I dressed them in outfits that had Pooh on them, set them on their picnic table outside (which had a Winnie the Pooh flower arrangement on it) and they each held a Pooh bear stuffed animal. I took plenty of pics until I got the perfect one. I taped the picture on top of decorative plaid paper that I purchased at a scrapbook store.  Ran copies at Kinkos on thick stock paper for the amount of invitations that I needed. I then cut it out to size for the invitation. I purchased clear Velum paper & printed the message on it. Brandi and Braden are turning Two and they are celebrating with Winnie the Pooh.  Party is at Smith's Hundred Acre Woods. Date, Time, & RSVP.  I printed different message for the party at the park. Brandi and Braden are turning Two and they're having a picnic with Winnie the Pooh. And added place, time, etc...  I then used a hole puncher & made two holes at the top of the picture & velum paper & secured with ribbon. I put a birthday Pooh sticker on the outside of envelope seal. The invitations were a BIG hit.  I bought pooh candles, plates, napkins & matching Thank-you notes from Birthdayexpress.com (which was the cheapest).    I made table decorations with the small stick balloons with Poohs face (the kind of balloons on a stick that are put in flower arrangements) & cheap plastic flowers (bought at $ store) in vases that I put on the adult & children's tables. Decorated with stuffed Pooh bears, balloons & streamers.  For food I made different types of sandwiches & cut them out with a Teddy Bear cookie cutter, had teddy graham cookies, chips, cut-up unseeded watermelon (so it would be easy for the kids to eat) Winnie the Pooh juice boxes for the kids, & grown up finger foods & drinks for the adults.  For the family party at our house, I had Winnie the Pooh video tapes playing in the T.V.. I also printed Pooh coloring sheets from the internet & had crayons ready for the younger children to color when they arrived. We have woods in our backyard, so we played a game of 'Find the Hunny Pots in the Woods'.  I made a sign out of old scrap wood that read 'Hundred Acre Woods' & posted it to a tree.  I painted yellow & black stripes on small terracotta pots & put small bags of Yellow & black jelly beans in them & placed them around trees. The kids of all ages loved this. It was similar to Easter egg hunting, so all ages could participate easily.   I made a Pooh cake for the family party & cupcakes for the friends party at the park.     The cupcakes, I tinted white icing green for grass, put the tiny candy flower pieces on it & placed two teddy graham teddy bears standing up , & stuck little drink paper umbrellas on the cupcake for the theme 'Pooh bear picnic'.   At the park I brought children's picnic tables of mine & some borrowed from friends & put them beside the adult picnic tables for the children to eat on.  I brought the Pooh table decorations & set them on all the tables.  I had helium filled balloons tied to picnic tables & brought all the food mentioned above. I had my Teenage niece to come & help parents watch their children play.   For the goody bags for both parties, I kept it simple.  I had Pooh printed goody bags and filled with Pooh stickers, Pooh gummy bear packs, & individual Teddy graham packs & blow bubbles.  I tied each bag with red gingham ribbon.   Both parties went excellent.
