My daughter loves Winnie the Pooh, so for her 2nd birthday we had a "Hundred Acre Woods" party. I rented Little Tike toys from a local party store for the children to play with. I
had a small toddler table and chairs for the children to sit at. I covered all the tables with red and white gingham table cloths. I decorated the food tables with solid red and yellow
tablecloths (Pooh colors). I put balloon bouquets on the tables.
For the menu I made Winnie the Pooh shaped sandwiches wrapped in wax paper for the children, I also had juice boxes iced down for them. On their table I had a basket of chips to eat with their sandwich. On the food table I had various sandwiches for the adults and individual variety bags of chips. I had drinks iced down in a tub of ice. For the goody bags, I painted a 4'' clay pot to look like a honeypot. I painted some purple and some blue. I painted the inside yellow to resemble honey. I also dripped some piant down the sides. I wrote "HONEY" in black paint on the side of the pot. I filled the inside with yellow raffia as well, to resemble honey to cushion the goodies I put inside. I made a "Winnie the Pooh" coloring book, one pack of colors, a straw, some plastic toddler utensils, and a Winnie the Pooh Cookie. I wrapped the pot in cellophane and tied it with a ribbon. The party was to be outside, but the weather turned bad and we had in in our church gym. I hung a 4' #2 under the goal post of the basketball court. and centered the tables around that area. The other end of the court had all the riding and playing toys. Each area was a different part of the Hundred Acre Woods.
