For my son's first birthday, I decided to make him a Winnie The Pooh Birthday Cake. It's not very hard to do and came out quite nice. First you need some cake mix, any will do, white frosting,
and food coloring. Mix the cake as directed. Pour some of the cake mix into a 8 or 9 inch cake pan (about three-quarters the way.) Pour the rest of the cake mix into a greased cupcake pan
(you will need at least 4 cupcakes.) Then bake them in the oven until they are done. When they are done baking, take a little less then three quarters of the frosting from the container, and
put it in a bowl, with some yellow food coloring. Then take the rest of frosting and put it in another bowl mix with red, green, and a small amount of blue food coloring to make a brown. When
the cake and cup cakes are done baking, let them cool. When the cup cakes have cooled, take 4 of the cupcakes and cut the tops off of them. Then take the cake and frost it with some of the
yellow frosting. Now take 2 of the cupcake tops and put them where you want the eyes to be, frost them with the brown frosting. Take one of the cupcake bottoms and put it where you want the
nose to be, frost only the top part with brown frosting, and the sides with yellow frosting. Now you need to take the other 2 cupcake tops and put them at the top of the head, where you want
the ears to be, and frost then with yellow frosting (depending on the height of your cake, you may need to leave part of the bottom on the cupcake.) Frost the ears completely with the rest of
the yellow frosting. Use some of the brown frosting to make Pooh's mouth. And there you have it, that completes your Pooh cake. It may not come out perfect, but it still looks great!!! Have
fun!
