Winnie the Pooh party For my Daughter's 3rd Birthday, she wanted a party with her favorite characters Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Getting all the stuff here is difficult, so I drew and
colored loads of Winnies ,tiggers piglets and Owls. For each child, I made Headbands with one of the characters attached and also Placemats, by glueing one or more characters to a piece of
colored cardboard and laminating them. the table was set with the placemats and each child got to take his placemat home. They are still using them 2 years later. The cake I made was a
chocolate based one, rectangular in shape, covered with light Buttercream. The grass was made of desicated coconut flakes colored with green food colouring.
Small plastic Winnie the pooh and his friends sat on top, having a picnic. A few plastic trees and bushes completed the hundred acre wood. Winnie the Pooh himself had a couple of balloons (small plastic ones) hotglued to his hands. Take home gifts were of course kept to the theme i.e. coloring books of Winnie, rulers, erasers etc. Healthy snacks such as carrots and cucumbersticks from Rabbit's garden were also a favorite, served with a dip of course. For games we had, pin the tail on Eeyore ( I cut out a large Eeyore out of styrofoam and painted him without a tail), throwing a ball on a pyramid of empty cans and throwing balls into different sized pots to win prizes. Of course for that age the children received prizes just for joining in.
