I chose a Pooh's grand Day for my Son's first birthday. We have a child care center and decided to have in the common area. Invitations were printed on the computer with a picture of my son
sitting at a table with a birthday cake surrounded by tress with a banner that read "Dylan welcomes you to the Hundred Acre Woods" inside the card read "we're having a party
and I'm so excited, I'm turning one and your invited. My friends are having a food contest, we need you to help judge who's the best. So come with a rumble in your tummy, causes we will be
serving more than Hunny. With the location and time. PS my mom said please don't bring any bees. and I put pictures of bees on the inside of the card. The party bags were plastic planter pots
from Wal-Mart($.88) and I put bits of honey, pooh squirt bottles of honey, kids sunflower seeds from Wal-Mart (teddy bear sunflower) and paintable suncatchers and trinket boxes that came in a
kit with the paint from the dollar tree. We had children of all ages so different age appropriate extras was put in upon leaving. On the pot a wrote HUNNY and on the pack I put my son's name
and date and his 1st birthday party. I put the seeds in so the children could use the pots later to plant in. I bought yellow shinny felt and cut strips with one straight side and one
squiggly lines to mimic dripping honey and hot glued it around the top of the pot like it was dripping out. The decoration was life size trees made out of rolls of green and brown
construction paper. Trees was placed all around the room with birds and caterpillars, bunny and every other kind of forest animal we could think of. The food was EEYORES-oreo brownies,
TIGGERS-tigg tales(rice krispie treats rolled and shaped into tales colored orange and striped with chocolate), PIGLETS-piggies in a blanket, ROOS-fresh fruit(FRUIT TRAY), KANGAS-cookies,
RABBITS-fresh garden vegetables, OWLS-bookworm sandwich(6 ft sub with eyes and hat etc,), CHRISTOPHER ROBINS-chips and dips, all the food was put in wooden bowls like planters and a large
wooden planter tub was lined and filled with drinks and ice. Outside we had assorted Christmas trees sitting around and sounds of nature playing to mimic a forest. We made signs for the food
out of construction paper and stuck it in the food. We had about 60 people and had a blast it will be a birthday to remember always.
