Pooh and Friends Party - 1st birthday For my daughters 1st birthday I held a Pooh and Friends party.
I downloaded pictures from the internet for the invitations and each guest was to bring along a pooh soft toy. Pooh plates and napkins were used for the table. I made little pooh cakes for food - little muffins iced and teddy biscuits on top. The games were a hit especially with the older children. Post Pooh's letters, I hid shoe boxes outside with a picture of pooh and friends on them and stuck the same pictures on envelops for the children. Each child had five characters to find. I also wrote their names on the back of the envelopes so I could tell if they played the game correctly. The winner was the person who posted all their letters first and correctly. Another games was "to catch a heffalump" each child tied a balloon to their ankle (I used all black balloons) and they had to burst the others balloons without getting their one burst, very noisy game a bit frightened older ones loved it. Pooh Hotch Potch. This is were the soft toys game in everyone puts their soft toy in the middle of the circle, everyone dances to the music when the music stops everyone grabs a toy (like musical chairs) tip is to take away the little toys first to avoid the clashing of heads. Also had pin the tail on eyeore pass the parcel and a good old lollie scramble done by none other than Pooh Bear. Instead of Loot Bags I had honey pots - terracotta pots from the garden center stuck "Hunny" sticker to it and filled with pictures from the Internet to color in of Pooh and Friends, Pooh Crayons, Teddy Bear Biscuits. Prizes for the games were all Pooh related with a Pooh Puzzle, Kite, Drink Bottle and Money Tin. Lots of fun held by all even the adults !!??
