For my son's 4th Birthday, we planned a Winnie the Pooh Party.
We made the invitations from the Disney Winnie the Pooh Printshop CD. For games we had (1) a coloring contest -- the coloring sheets came from the Winnie the Pooh Printshop CD and award certificates made from the CD were handed out -- of course everyone won something... picture Poohfect, Tiggeriffic picture, and so forth. (2) rabbit's carrot hunt -- I bought lots of plastic carrot containers after easter and filled them with prizes and had the kids search in rabbits garden -- was run just like an easter egg hunt. (3) pin the tail on Eeyore -- I painted a picture of Pooh's true blue friend and the kids played this like pin the tail on the donkey. Actually, it is a form of pin the tail on the Donkey. (4) Tigger's ball toss. I have a pop-up ball toss game with tigger on it from the Disney store. (5) Hit the Honey Pot -- I made a Honey Pot pinata for the children to break -- this was, well frankly a hit! Pooh would have been proud. The children like candy as much as he likes honey. We served a Pooh shaped cake with ice cream. For a craft, the children decorated mini frisbees with Pooh and pals stickers. The kids got to play on our swingset, in a small bouncey bounce and in a ball pit. I made Pooh bookmarks to handout to all of the guests as a favor. They were laminated to insure this memento would last. For goody bag treats each child got a Pooh jump rope, a Pooh ball, Pooh Crayons, a Pooh or Tigger figure, a Pooh Coloring book and a Pooh Mylar ballon from the dollar store. My older son colored pictures of Pooh and the gang and we hung these around for decor as well. All and all it ended up being a Poohfect birthday. After the party, I made thank yous on the Pooh Printshop program as well. Best wishes for those of you seeking to bring the 100 acre wood to your backyard as well!
