For my son's 7th birthday, it seemed that he can not make up his mind on a special theme. We know he wants a pool party and alot of friends there. So I decided to make a "surprise
theme" for him. We chose a BBQ/swim party since alot of the people that attend were relatives(about 16 kids total). I found the plates with hamburgers and hotdogs on it(they are red,
white and blue)on a website and bought extra plates and other things at the local Dollar Tree. I am going to have an area set up for a craft which was for them to decorate their goodie bags.
They are made out of the brown lunch sacks. On the table we will have crayons, markers, stickers, and the foam pieces. Each child will make his or her bag the way they want. We will have
hotdogs and chips. Then the kids will play water balloon toss and one other game called Frozen water balloon(got that idea off this site).Where you freeze water balloons with small prizes in
them and the first one with their balloon off and the ice melted will win. The best part of that all the kids will be a "winner". That way their tummys settle before swimming. They
will swim awhile and during swim time there will be a few more games. Noodle relay and another game were you take beach balls and see who can sit on their ball the longest in the water. After
swim time we will eat cake and ice cream. The cake will look like a big Hamburger(found idea in woman's day) That way we stick to the "BBQ" theme. after cake and ice cream will be
present time. After that they are more than welcome to go back to swimming. This way I figure that all the kids (ages 2-17) will enjoy theirselves.During the last swim time I will fill their
goodie bags wil candy and other gifts.
