Pool Party for 2 year old:
It was my youngest son's 2nd birthday party, which means he has no preference on any theme's. But he loves swimming with his brother, so I decided to rental out the Aquatic Center in my neighborhood. It is really nice since it is walking distance from my house. It has and indoor pool, outdoor pool with a wading pool for the babies, a Splash Zone area and an area to play sand volleyball. I went to birthdayinabox.com and picked out the beachball theme, really cute. I ordered the beachball plates, napkins, tablecloth, and cups. They also have the option to purchase personalized invitations, and I normally print out my own but this way was cheaper only .99 each. They said, "Slish, Splash Join us for Tristen's Birthday Bash!, included date, time and to please being swimsuit and towel. This party was in late August in Texas which means it is very hot. Also I inflated three dozen beach balls (oriental trading), and had them in the pool for the kids to play with. I also brought extra noodles and inflatable arm bands for the kids incase they forgot them. I also order water goggles (oriental trading) and the kids can use and then take them home. We would only have the pool for 2 hours. Swimming was the major activity, everyone child we invited would be swimming. So I alotted 1 1/2 hours for swimming, then I had already pre-orderd pizza to eat.I order a cake from Sam's and them draw a big beach ball on the cake. I also had fresh fruit in sand pails and used the sand shovels for the spoons this was for the adults that didn't want cake. I also had chips, dips and Blue Ocean Breeze from Hawaiian Punch. The kids got to take home a sand shovel with there name on it, gummy sandals, goggles, sunglasses , beach stickers and a beach ball (all from oriental trading) and one more thing I made beachball cookies (got the receipe from Brightideeas.com) with mm's on them and put them in a bag with a twisty on them. Everyone enjoyed the party and had a good time..
