For our daughter who was turning 1 we had a princess pool party. We made our invites on the computer with light pink paper and purple ink with clip art of crowns and roses and castles for the
border, the invites said Come for the fun our little princess is turning 1. We decorated the tables with lavender and pink plastic table cloths and we made the centerpieces out of white party
hats with pink and lavender feather boas glued around the bottom and flowers sticking out of the top with pearls. You can pick-up the feather boas at any fabric store by the yard as well as
the pearls. We also used pearl pink, white and lavender balloons with ribbon to hang from under the porch. We were able to find a princess swimsuit at Nordstrom Department Store in pink and
lavender for the birthday girl. Our dear friend offered to dress up as a princess with the big ball gown and all the accessories to greet all the guests as they entered the pool area and to
later do face painting and balloon animals. We served Royal Burgers and Regal Dogs to keep it simple for the grown ups and since it was Memorial Day Weekened we had a snowcone machine and
apples, oranges, watermelon, honeydue and cantalope cut into the shapes of stars for little hands to grasp easily. For the cake we had 1 for the adults and one for Lauren to dig into it was a
small pink and lavender round cake. Goddie Bags were given at the beginning of the party by our princess greeter. The children ranged in age from 8 months to 12 years so for the little non
swimmers we gave baby floaters sun screen spf40 and Gymboree Bubbles(the best bubbles in the world!!!) and for the older children we gave sun screen spf40 Gymboree bubbles and princess wands
wrapped in sparkle tulle with curly ribbon and a lamanated name tag so we knew who's was who's. We had a ball, it the best party we ever threw.
