For my 11th birthday party we had a blast.
Before; plan your party before the actual party! be sure to make a guest list, games list, food list, so you would need of course, a shopping list! Call people and send out invitations in about two weeks advance to make up arrangements. Invitations: we cut a pair of old jeans up and then glue pieces of it on cardboard for the hip effect. We wrote out time, place etc. they were also asked to bring any CD's, tapes movies, etc. Food: we had pizzas with smiley faces on them. We used pepperoni's for the eyes. And olives for the nose and mouth. We also made our own Ice Cream Sundaes and had cake. The party: Then when everyone first arrived we all went swimming. Then we somehow got into a waterballoon fight!!! that was really fun. After everyone was dried off we played the find the word game.(there's a board with words on it. Two teams. Example: The word is spaghetti. A person from each team tries to find the word. The one that doesn't find it first gets spaghetti poured on them.) Even though everyone was smelly, we thought that was really cool. after everyone was settled down we all ate pizza and made crafts. We made our own handbags. Then we had a dance contest. We played mixed music, which everyone liked. We also did candy makeovers. instead of make-up we used frosting and candy!!!it was very tasty! Throughout the night we played different games made up from objects bought from Wal-Mart and dollar general!!! We watched a scary movie and eventually fell asleep. we also had a variety of foods like celery sticks, finger foods, etc. just in case anyone was still hungry. Afetr; the next morning when everyone left we cleaned up and said our good-byes. Everyone signed a banner for me before they left. We had fun, and everyone is looking forward to next year!. This came from an 11 year old girl. Who would better know how to give a kid's slumber party than a kid? I hope you take my advice and plan ahead, have plenty of food, organize, organize, organize, be ready to clean, and oh yeah, have fun!!!
