For our daughter's 7th birthday we had a Rock Star Make-over party. We sent out invitations in the shape of concert tickets that read "Emerson's Rock Star Make-over Party - Admit
One"
on the outside. When you opened it, it gave had all the important information. We had the party at a local pizza place that had a party room. The party room was already decorated with at 50's motif complete with stage. When the girls arrived, they each picked out an iron-on that we created on the computer. They said things like "Rock Star", "Future Celebrity", "Diva" etc. Then we ironed them onto white t-shirts which the girls then decorated with fabric paint. After the girls were finished painting and we hung all the shirts up to dry, it was pizza time. They all sat like little ladies and ate their pizza. After each girl was done, (they all ate at different speeds) we had make-overs. My mom did each of the girls' hair in a funky updo with fake colored strands of hair on clips. We found them at a local party/toy store. I did the girls make-up with cool colored eye shadow and lipstick. The girls also got to pick out body jewelry and tattoos that we applied. When the make-overs were done, it was KARAOKE TIME!!!! Each of the girls got to sing a song from at Radio Disney Karaoke CD that I bought online. My husband video taped each of the girls on a very old video camera that took the actual VHS tapes. (I still can't believe he kept that thing) We covered each of the tape boxes with paper that read "Emerson's Rock Star Make-over Party April 22nd 2006." "Rock Star________________" After each of the girls sang, they got their tape and could decorate it with sticker that we put out for them. The girls got to take home their t-shirt, tape, costume jewelry, and some leftover tattoos. All the girls had a great time!! I got calls from some parents that couldn't be there telling me how much they loved seeing their daughter singing on the tape. Some even suggested holding on to the tape for future wedding videos!!!!!
