For my daughter's 8th birthday, I planned a rock-n-roll glamour party for her. She dressed up in ripped jeans, a t-shirt that said My Mom Rocks a cahin belt, a leather belt, excessive silver jewlery, and kinked her hair up.  She went to school like this all day.  She was well prepared for her day on the town as a rock star. I rented a limousine a had her and 5 of her friends picked up from school. (We received a discount for renting during the day.)  I had convienced the driver to let me use window paint to write Happy Birthday" and "Rock On!" on both sides of the limo.  The kids really loved being picked up from school and it was all everyone talked about for days before & after the party. Next we enjoyed some chips and dinks in the limo.  They drank out of the wine glasses that were provided in the limo.  We had made CDs for the trip that included a lot of 80's songs like "I Love Rock n Roll Mickey Girls Just Want to Have Fun, etc. Then we went to Justice Just For Girls (similar to Libby Lu and Limited Too).  There they had there make up and hair fixed received a fake headset arm sockspicked out several suprprises for their goodie bags received a free glitter make up kit walked on the "runway" and had their pictures made made cards sang and had a great time.  From Justice we went back to our house for the cake and ice cream.  I had a friend make a cake in the shape of an electric guitar and instead of writting "Happy Birthday" on it she wrote "Rock On (child's name)."  I decorated the house before I picked the girls up on the limo so when we arrived it was ready to go. I purchased dangling vinyl records on metallic ribbon vinyl record streamers rock and roll plates napkins and table cloths. I decorated the entire dinning room.  There were vinyl records hanging everywhere!  We had balloons to match and also plain ones. I also got blow up guitars microphones and saxaphones.  Party America had all the decorations I needed.  We had a strobe light lava lamps and black lights set up everywhere. We had a kareoke contest and the winner got a trophy.  The girls played the "old" music all night and danced and played until they all crashed for the sleepover. It was all a blast for everyon and they captured the entire party with personal disposable cameras I purchased for them.  The pictures turned out great."
