For my 10th birthday, I had an Oscar Night Party. My mom and I planned for three months to make it perfect.INVITATIONS: We bought white paper with silver stars down the side(purchased at
Micheal's.)The invitation read "You're invited to a grand night at the Oscar's for.. Elisa's 10th Birthday!" We included the party hours and made sure that each girl came as their
favorite superstar.DECORATIONS: The day of the party, my friends pulled up at my driveway, where a long red plastic tablecloth was layed down. Along the sidewalk were stars cut out of gold
wrapping paper and each girl had her own star, to represent the walk of fame in Hollywood. My dad dressed up as a security guard and opened up each of their doors. I walked each friend down
the carpet, with fans screaming on the outside concrete(have your mom ask some friends to scream and take pictures). When the red carpet ended, there was a giant Oscar my mom and I had made
out of cardboard and gold paper, leading them into my garage, covered in movie posters, flashing lights and signs I made with glittery puff paints reading "Dance all Night" and so
on. ACTIVITIES: When everyone arrived, we had them each walk down the red carpet with my Boom-Box blasting our favorite tunes like "Why Not" and "Supermodel". Then, I
opened presents.Afterwards, we all split up into groups of three and switched to three different stations, make-up, hair, and nails. There was a tostada bar lined up on a back table in the
garage, with lettuce, cheese, beef, olives and the crunchy shell for dinner(think outside of pizza). Afterwards, each group acted, sang or danced(it depended on what the person they came as
does). For example, one of my friends who came as Avril Lavigne sang "Sk8er Boi". When everyone finished their skits, everyone got to sing, dance or just somehow entertain all of the
other guests. When everyone did the act of their choice, everyone designed their own ice cream sundae and sang happy bithday. My mom and Aunt Diane decided on the awards, while we got dressed
up in scarves, dresses, and all those other fun dress-up clothes. When they were finished, all the girls took a seat as I gave out the awards.(make sure everyone gets an award). My Aunt
and mom dressed up fancily and handed me an envelope. The envelope said the category on the front, I announced it, and then opened the envelope and read the winner. Each girl got to make her
own little speech and was given a little plastic trophy,(purchased at Oriental Trading). Some examples of the awards given out were; Best Laugh, Cutest Smile, Hottest Outfit, and Best
Choreographer. Then we got into our pajamas, watched "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" and went to sleep. In the morning, we had "Krispy Kream" donuts and sausage. All my friends
went home with a goody bag filled with: a cell-phone shaped lip gloss, candy, eye shadow and more. It was my best party yet!
