I had Party Like a Rock Star" birthday party for my granddaughter's 8th birthday. The invitations were made to look like back stage "VIP passes"to the party. On the front was my granddaughter's picture in a "star" and on the back was all the info for the party. We put the invitation inside a badge holder and attached it to a lanyard. They need the "pass" to get into the party. I had a red carpet leading up to my house and on the red carpet were yellow stars with each child's name in it. My daughter's husband was "security check-in" and you had to show you vip passes to gain access into the party. Once pass the check-inyou came through a metallac door curtain. Once inside there were different color lights flashing and I had a disco ball hanging from the ceiling. I bought a scene setter that looked like red curtains and I drapped that all around the room. You really thought that you were backstage at a party. Everyone coming to the party had to dress like their favorite rock star. We had a lot of hannah montana's and chris brown's. The adults that were helping with the party all wore "staff" passes We had a variety of food from hot dogs to pizza to chicken nuggets and french fries. We put everything out on a long banquet size table just like they do at a backstage party and we let the kids get whatever they wanted when they wanted. I had a "bar" set up in the cornerI served 2 drinks one was a blue tropical dream which was blue hawaiian punch with ginger ale. the other was orange juice cranberry juice and pineapple juice that was called sunshine punch. we also had soda and water. I served everything in long plastic flutes with the little umbrella and cherry and pineapple garnishes. I also had a chocolate fountain that I served with marshmallows pretzels strawberries and cookies. We played a game when you had to bid on a mystery gift and everyone got dollars that had my granddaughter's picture in the middle. We played a relay game where whoever could put on and take off all the clothes that were in the bag got a prize. The party favors were inflatable guitars and microphones. We also had a guitar shaped pinata.  "
