I wanted to have a fun night with some girlfriends, an end of summer bash, if you will. I decided to make it a movie star party. The invitations were made on a sheet of white heavy card stock.
Along the bottom I glued a strip of film negative and wrote the needed information. Everyone was informed to dress as there favorite character from a movie and to bring a grab bag gift that
relates to movies. On the entrace way of the house laid a red carpet. A star with a movie titled was then placed on their back. Their goal for the night was to figure out what movie was on
their back. Since not everyone at my party knew each other the rule was they only could ask questions to help them figure out the title to people they didn't know too well. Once all the
guests arrived we had pizza and pop. For snacks there were bowls of popcorn, twizzlers, snow caps, and gummi bears. We sat around watching movies for most of the night. At one point I asked
the girls to vote for people in different categories (best costume, most creative, person the looks the most like their character, etc.) once votes were totaled, awards were given for all
categories. I made it so every girl would win, by not letting anyone win twice, and having as many categories as girls. I decided to have something for the girls to take home, before the
party I took clear plexi glass stand up picture frames and decorated them with gold and black stars and movie tickets. At the party I placed several disposable cameras around and allowed the
girls to take pictures, in the morning I had them developed and then placed a picture into each frame and allowed the girls to take them home. Everyone had a great time and loved seeing each
other dressed up. They are still are talking about it!
