For my son's 10th Birthday Party we had a "Be a Star" theme party.
You will need to rent a Limo, have or rent a video camera, and you will also need to know how or know someone who knows how to edit movies taken from by the video camera. The invitation invites the guests to help star in a short movie. The will need to dress nicely or in their best movie star outfit. Let them know what time they will be picked up (it's important that they are picked up by Limo for video footage) and also inform parents if they will be eating lunch or just having a lite snack at party On the day of the party the limo will pick up each guest (up to 8 is ideal) with red carpet service to the Limo, and a pretend photographer and videoographer (can be yourself and a friend). Then you are off in the limo stopping different places to get footage of the kids just being themselves (it's really up to you where you go) we went to San Francisco and filmed around their. After shooting enough video you can then head to a birthday dinner (somewhere fun) or out for birthday ice cream and to open presents, and then drop off each guest at home. Supply them with a card stating that their will be a movie premiere in 4-5 days for them and their parents and they will receive the finished short movie then. Go home and edit the video, add music...the whole nice. On movie premire night dress up the house as if it were a real movie premire, red carpet, photographers (again can be yourself)show the video and at the end give each child a copy of the video on a CD-ROM. It sounds costly but you can get some incredible deals on limos if you do your research. It will definately be a party that each guest will be remember along with video.
