For my daughters 12th birthday party, organizied an Acadamy Award Party. The invatations were like a little red carpet made of velvet. First of all we Set up chairs in the backyard and the girls arrived in semi-formal clothers. We put a long red carpet down the yard to the front, where there was a seat and backdrop (optional) Then we would give each person a actresses name, and then draw there name from a hat, on a little note with their actresses name and a movie that they played in underneath. Then they would come to the front make a little speach if they wanted and then get a prize such as mini or fake trophies, chocolate, makeup, or drinks. Then they went inside and watched a scary movie, and a light movie. The cake was shaped like an Oscar award. Then they slept over and in the morning I sent each girl home with there own actresses picture with a fake autoghragh on it. They all enjoyed it and have asked to do it again!
