My friend had a singing party for her 11th party. In the invitations everyone was told to dress like a pop star. Therefore, everyone arrived in all sorts of cool clothes.
Everyone got there picture taken twice, once with a Polaroid and once with a digital camera. With the digital camera her dad made everyone a "photo ID card" with their name and the name of the band. With the Polaroid picture everyone cut out their head and made a body with markers and paper. Everyone glued themselves to a sheet of paper which was copied for everyone to have a page. Then, a limo drove us to a recording studio at a local mall. The limo was really cool and everyone was looking at us when we got out. They had a book of tons of songs at the recording studio. Every girl picked a song and sang it by themselves, with the birthday girl, or with everyone. The words to the song were on a TV screen and there were head phones to hear the original music. You could practice a couple of times and then record which would make the music be played outside. People would stop by and listen to us and some people even held up their cellphones for the other line to hear! When everyone had recorded we all did a song together. The birthday girl got the CD and then her dad burned one for each of us. We designed covers (front and back) for our CDs. Everyone got to make their own off of the internet. When we got home everyone changed into more comfortable outfits and we went out to eat. when we got home again we ate cake and put our pajamas on. Then we opened presents. Everyone slept in a tent and then we played games until it was time to go to sleep. In the morning everyone got to take home a CD and photo identity card as party favors. It was a blast and everyone got their chance to be a pop star!
